  • The Patio App was a social networking app used by over 300k students across 350 colleges and universities. Patio found product-market fit with incoming freshmen who used the app to make friends before arriving on campus, leading publications like Buzzfeed coin as Patio “Facebook for Gen-Z”. I served as Marketing Manager for a year before being promoted to Head of Marketing.

  • created original video and static content for instagram and tiktok; wrote creative briefs and scripts for 40+ content creators and influencers. managed and optimized a $15k budget for paid social. lead user research and app testing.

  • over 3M organic views on TikTok

    paid social: 3M impressions and an avg CTR of 3.6%

Building College Communities

My team and I sourced and managed over 150 college ambassadors, dozens of influencers, and 15 interns — leveraging each of their campus connections and insights to promote Patio. Building our ambassador program from the ground up, we worked with these “Patio Partners” on a daily basis to push different campaigns, plan in-person events, distribute merch and keep their Patios active and growing. Collaborations ✷ Giveaways ✷ Scholarships

  • Back to School Giveaway

    With the help of our Patio Partners, we launched “Back to School” giveaways at 15 of our top Patios. This initiative sparked a large increase in downloads and activity in these schools.

  • Hype and Vice x Patio

    I reached out to Hype and Vice, a college apparel brand, to organize a collaboration for our overlapping audiences. We partnered on an Instagram giveaway as well as contributed custom stickers to their goodie bags at pop ups.

  • Patio Scholarship

    I led the creation and promotion of two scholarship programs designed to raise awareness about Patio while giving back to our community. Nearly 10,000 students applied.

  • Live Q&A

    Since our target users were freshmen, we organized live and virtual events to help get them ready & excited for college. We hired two of our college influencers to answer questions in an IG Live Q&A attended by hundreds of students.

  • College Brands Giveaway

    Brewbike and Student-Made, two college focused small businesses, reached out to us to see if we’d be interested in collaborating. Over 2,000 students entered the giveaway.
